CLINICAL CASE MANAGER

EMPOWERING PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY

At New Directions, we offer services that contribute to the well being of children, youth, adults, families and their community. New Directions’ values are integrity in all we do; honoring the strengths of people and community; holism including emotional, spiritual, physical, intellectual, environmental and cultural; respect for all people.

Empowering People in the Community (E.P.C.) is one of the many programs offered by New Directions. E.P.C requires a full-time Clinical Case Manager based on a 35 hour/wk. Responsibilities include providing intake/assessment, community outreach, case management, counselling, developing treatment plans, preparing proposals, supervising staff and supporting individuals living in foster homes.

Applicants must have a B.S.W. /B.A. or related social services with a minimum of 4 years experience working with individuals with disabilities. Fluency in French or Aboriginal Language or ASL, or the willingness to learn is a definite asset. Candidates should be knowledgeable of and sensitive to Aboriginal Culture and Traditions. Experiences in working with children in foster homes and staff supervision are assets for this position. Microsoft Word processing skills, First Aid certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training would be considered assets.

The successful candidate will be subject to Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry checks.
