E.P.C. is now accepting applications for Regular Full Time, Regular Part Time and Casual Support Workers to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Job responsibilities include: supporting individuals in the community and assisting with basic living skills, recreational activities, and promoting educational or vocational opportunities. Successful candidates must have experience working with people with disabilities, knowledge of FAS/FAE and/or mental health issues, a high school diploma, First Aid (Emergency Level), good problem solving and excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate and knowledge of American Sign Language (A.S.L.) are definite assets. Candidates must be willing to work various shifts including days, evenings and weekends and will be subject to a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks. The salary range for this full time position is $21,228 to $29,722 per annum based on a 35 hour work week and would be prorated for part time hours. New Directions has an excellent benefits package. The salary range for casual support worker positions is $11.35 to $12.53 per hour. New Directions has an excellent benefits package. |
