Shift-Staffed Homes, one of the many programs offered by New Directions, requires Casual Support Workers for adult male and female, 24 hour shift-staffed residences. Applicants must be available to work day, evening and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. Duties include working as part of a team providing care and supervising residents in the home and in the community, administering medication, providing transportation, and performing household chores. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training will be provided. Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is also a requirement. A current Driver’s Abstract must be provided. A.S.L. and a Disability and Community Support Certificate would be considered assets. First Aid and CPR training will be provided. The salary for Casual Support Workers starts from $11.35 to $12.53 per hour. The successful candidates will be subject to Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry checks. |
