JobSolution

The Canadian economy is in a time of transition. Younger job-seekers report that they are finding it harder to get a job. Employers have a wider pool of workers to choose from, and today’s job-seekers need a competitive edge to succeed in the labour force.

The Conference Board of Canada’s Employability Skills 2000+ identifies critical employability skills as:

Fundamental Employment Skills: Communicating clearly, managing information, thinking about and solving problems.

Teamwork Skills: Working with others, able to participate in projects and tasks.

Personal Management Skills: Able to demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours, be responsible, be adaptable, learn continuously, and work safely.

JobSolution, is designed to meet the needs of young adults by providing them with skills that can lead to paid employment. Young adults with multiple barriers, including those with intellectual disabilities who are currently eiligible for day services funding, may also qualify for this program.
