A holistic prevention program for children (8 - 13 yrs) & parents about issues of sexual exploitation.

Ndaawin (Our Home)

Predators are taking advantage of children for their own sexual gratification. All children deserve the collective help of their communities to become empowered against sexual exploitation.

We need your help and involvement if we are to make an impact to help children, families and society end the denial of sexual exploitation that is hurting our children, their families and society as a whole.

Ndaawin is a program aimed at preventing the sexual exploitation of children and youth.

  • Our focus will be to reach out to children 8 - 13 yrs. and educate them about sexual exploitation and to provide support.
  • We are currently developing several approaches e.g., puppet show, a video, youth speakers, to help families, schools, community centers, etc. provide awareness about sexual exploitation issues.
  • We will also provide children & parents recreational activities, cultural activities, individual and group support.

With the help of individuals, families, groups and organizations, Ndaawin will implement a response team, provide peer and parent support, develop an assessment tool and an education curriculum that can be used by communities to help combat issues that inhibit or negatively affect a child's growth and development, which may increase their chance of being exploited sexually.

Ndaawin is funded by the Department of Justice through the National Crime Prevention Centre
